Robotics State Championship

The FIRST® in Ohio Robotics State Championship is the first in a series of "off-season" robotics tournaments for high school teams regularly participating in the FIRST® Robotics Competition. This single-day invitational tournament will feature 32 of the top-performing teams from across the "Buckeye State," playing "CRESCENDOSM," the same high-energy, high-tech, music-themed "Game" that was played during the regular 2024 competition season.

This season's FIRST® in Ohio State Championship is expected to draw nearly 800 high school students and their cheering fans to Worthington Kilbourne campus for the single-day event. Four (4) CMSD teams from the Great Lakes Science Center's Robotics Initiative will be among the teams competing. Those teams are:

Team #8140 (The RoboManiacs from MC2 STEM High School);

Team #8145 (The Tech Warriors from East Technical High School);

Team #8243 (The AstroCircuits from John Marshall High School), and

Team #9622 (GRIDLOCK from Garrett Morgan School of Engineering and Innovation)
Spectators Welcome!
Be sure to catch all the excitement of this intense competition that showcases industrial-sized, mobile robots developed and operated by teams of high school students. Spectators can tour the "pits" to meet the teams and get a closer look at their robots! Admission is FREE! Come cheer on your favorite Ohio teams!
