The 2025 "Kettering Kickoff"

The Kettering Kickoff is the first in a series of pre-season, high-energy robotics tournaments where teams of high school students (mentored by adult professionals), working in 3 team alliances, compete head-to-head for top honors. This year's tournament will feature 40 of the top high school robotics teams from Michigan and northeast Ohio.

This two-day, pre-season event is expected to draw over 500 high school students and their cheering fans to Kettering University's Connie and Jim John Recreation Center. Team #8222 (The Argonauts from Davis Aerospace and Maritime High School) will be among the team competing on Day 2 of this off-season event.
Spectators Welcome!
Be sure to catch all the excitement of this intense competition that showcases industrial-sized, mobile robots developed and operated by teams of high school students. Spectators can tour the "pits" to meet the teams and get a closer look at their robots! Later, you'll have an excellent view of the competition field as you cheer on your favorite teams from the spectator seating areas that surround the arena!
