Weekly Onsite Build, and Practices Sessions

In addition to the team meetings held at their schools, the member teams of the Great Lakes Science Center's Robotics Initiative also hold joint training, build, and practice sessions several times each week inside the Rockwell Automation Robotics Room and the TransDigm Group Learning Center located at the Great Lakes Science Center in downtown Cleveland (Ohio).

These joint sessions are typically held after school and on Saturdays during the 3-month long Competition Season.

After-school Joint Sessions at the Great Lakes Science Center are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Saturday sessions at the Science Center are typically divided into two 4-hour shifts with different sub-teams working during those shifts.

The first shift begins promptly at 10:00 AM and runs through 2:00 PM.
The second shift starts at 1:00 PM and runs through 5:00 PM.

Participating students and their adult mentors are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Assorted snacks, sodas, and bottled water will be provided.

Please Note – Meeting days, times, and locations vary by team, and are subject to change depending on holidays, inclement weather, and school in-service days. Existing and potential student team members and adult mentors should contact the Lead Mentor (Coach) for their team regarding their meeting schedule.
