CMSD Students Shine at Recent Robotics Tournament

Four new CMSD high school robotics teams made their debut last month at the FIRST Robotics Competition’s Buckeye Regional Tournament. The tournament was held at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland and brought together 60 of the best high school robotics teams from across a three-state region.

 

The four local teams, representing MC2 STEM High School, East Technical High School, Davis Aerospace and Maritime High School, and John Marshall School of Information Technology, faced their share of challenges getting their robots to operate properly during the tournament, but they held their own against the veteran teams, and all finished the qualification rounds ranked within the top half of the field. While none of the CMSD teams advanced to the playoffs, all four performed well and are looking forward to competing again next season.
