The FIRST® Robotics Competition's Miami Valley Regional is another in a series of high-energy, high-tech, international robotics tournaments where teams of students, mentored by adult professionals, work together to solve a unique engineering design problem. This year's tournament will feature 50 of the top high school robotics teams from nine (9) midwestern and southern states, as well as the People's Republic of China!

Cintas Center at Xavier University

This season's Miami Valley is expected to draw over 1,500 high school students and their cheering fans to Xavier University's Cintas Center for the three-day event.  Including all six (6) CMSD teams from the Great Lakes Science Center's Robotics Initiative, Those teams are:​

• Team #8140 (The RoboManiacs from MC2 STEM High School)

• Team #8145 (The Tech Warriors from East Technical High School)

• Team #8222 (The Argonauts from Davis Aerospace and Maritime High School)

• Team #8243 (The AstroCircuits from John Marshall High School); and 

• Team #9622 (GRIDLOCK from the Garrett Morgan School of Engineering and Innovation); and

• Team #9643 (Lady VOLTAGE, a community-based, all-girls team composed of students from 12 different CMSD high schools).

​In REBUILT™ presented by Haas,  FIRST Robotics Competition teams will use their engineering skills to uncover the future by re-imagining the past! 

Spectators Welcome! 

Be sure to catch all the excitement of this intense competition that showcases industrial-sized mobile robots developed and operated by teams of high school students. Spectators can tour the "pits" to meet the teams and get a closer look at their robots! Later, you'll have an excellent view of the competition field as you cheer on your favorite teams from the comfortable stadium seating found throughout the arena!
